Chromosonia
09 | 2011Gesture Controlled Book Reader
01 | 2011A gesture controlled book reader was built for E8 Labs. Simple multitouch gestures like flipping, zooming and panning can be used in the air to control the book view.
Two versions were developed, the first one was written in fluxus, Community Core Vision and an IR camera was used for tracking. It was a bit sensitive to environmental light, so a new version was developed with the Microsoft Kinect camera, which was just released at the end of 2010.
Hackpact
09 | 2009Inspired by the livecoding practice of Fredrik Olofsson and Click Nilson, I joined Alex McLean, Kassen Oud, Daniel Jones, Scott Hewitt and others in a pact to make and document something every day of September. We are using the tag 'hackpact'.
Day 30 - Gust
09 | 2009Day 29 - CMYK
09 | 2009Day 28 - Scope
09 | 2009Day 27 - Edges
09 | 2009Feeling quite uninspired today. Probably one of the reasons is that most of the livecoders have fallen out from Hackpact by now. So I remixed the piece from yesterday using midi control. I also tested whether CoreImage filters with multiple input buffers work. Surprisingly they do, without any modifications to the FFGLCIFilters framework. Moebius strip, displacement and edge detection for Kammerflimmer Kollektief's Alles Gluhen.
